ICT Operations Management and Planning Officer

Description

Remote is seeking a senior operations and contract management resource to join the Telecommunications and Data Centre Support Section (TCS) within DFAT’s Information Management and Technology Division. This role involves providing ICT Operations Management and Planning Support under the direction of the DFAT TCS Director.

Key responsibilities include operations management, planning support, procurement and contract management, stakeholder engagement, budget and financial planning, executive briefings, and preparation of strategy documentation. The role also requires developing technical and functional requirements for market approaches and assisting with the technical evaluation of tenders and quotes. Essential criteria include experience in secure government departments, understanding of various communication technologies, and strong knowledge of government procurement processes.

Essential criteria:

• Demonstrated experience working in secure government departments.

• Understanding of voice, video, mobile, satellite and terrestrial carriage fundamentals.

• Strong understanding of Government procurement processes.

Desirable criteria:

• Working in Government operational and tactical environments.

• Understanding of DFAT global operating environment.
