Description
Remote is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to join ASD. The Project Manager will lead a team to deliver an ICT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) project, along with future projects stemming from enhancements in the Monitoring and Response (M&R) strategy. This role is crucial for transitioning the SOC to a modernized Cloud solution. Key responsibilities include managing project development and delivery, scope planning, business analysis, test planning, and execution. The Project Manager will also oversee project scope, team, and schedule, conduct regular meetings, report to Directors and Sponsors, manage documentation, facilitate system transitions, and handle risk, issue, and cost assessments. Additionally, they will ensure scope delivery sign-off and perform tasks as required by the SCaR Director.
Role Information
The Project Manager is responsible for managing a project team to deliver an ICT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) project currently underway in addition to further projects that grow from improvements in the Monitoring and Response (M&R) strategy. This program of work is critical to bring the SOC into modernised Cloud solution.
The ICT Project Manager role will perform the following duties and responsibilities;
Manage the development, and delivering of the Project into Production; including Evaluation Team
scope planning and agreement and negotiation,
business analysis of requirements,
management of development, management of Test Planning and execution,
Monitor the project scope, team and schedule.
Provide regular project meetings, and report within the team, to the Directors and Sponsors.
Manage the documentation and knowledge of the project and new system
Manage the change from the old system to the new system as the project reaches dlievery into Production.
Manage the assessment and documentation and resolution of risks, issues and costs
Gain sign off of the scope delivery and management for go-live into production.
Essential criteria
At least 5 -10 years’ experience in IT Project Management
Knowledge of Project Management styles including, but not limited to, PMBok and Agile.
IT understanding of security and Cloud.
Strong leadership experience and skills
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Experience working in the Defence environment.
Desirable criteria
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT or Project Management
Experience managing complex projects.
Understanding of Document storage, and Objective
Experience working in the Public Service environment
