Description

The Defence Industry Security Branch (DISB) manages the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), supporting industry in meeting their security obligations for Defence tenders, contracts, and projects.

We are seeking Evaluation Officers to join our team. Evaluation Officers will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key DISP activities, ensuring compliance with Defence policies, and maintaining organisational integrity. The Evaluation Officers will assess and process DISP applications, manage DISP membership entities, and support the DISP Membership System (DMS). Additionally, Evaluation Officers will respond to external inquiries and handle ad-hoc tasks to support DISB.

Role Information

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Application Assessment and Processing. Actively work on DISP applications, respond to external inquiries and provide leadership with weekly status reports on current applications.

  • Membership Profile Management. Complete Annual Security Reports, conduct follow-ups on Assessments, update case tracker as tasks are completed and organise access for DISP members to the Security Officer Portal and Dashboard.

  • DISP Membership System (DMS) Support. Assess and process DISP applications, participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to support Final Operating Capability (FOC) and act as change advocates for system adoption.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in application processing and membership management.

  • Understanding of security policies and guidelines.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Brisbane. Queen Street, BRISANE QLD 4000. (NV1 Security Clearance required to work on site)

  • Canberra. Campbell Park Offices, 100 Northcott Drive MAJURA ACT 2609.

  • Sydney. Defence Plaza Sydney, 320 Pitt Street SYDNEY NSW 2000 .

  • Melbourne. RAAF Williams Maher Road, LAVERTON VIC 3027.

Additional information:

  • Successful candidates will work from office locations. However, flexible working arrangements will be considered on an as request basis.
