Application Tester

Description

Remote is seeking an Application Tester to join the team in Home Affairs. The role involves providing application testing support, including integration testing between different environments and documenting acceptance criteria in user stories.

Role Information

Role Description and Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application testing support

• Integration testing between different environments

• Contribute to documenting the acceptance criteria in user stories

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with ICT and business stakeholders at various levels

• An ability to create, understand and perform test activities such as test plan creation, test data creation and organising the creation of testing environments

• An understanding across all software test levels (unit, system, integration and user acceptance)

• An ability to manage individually allocated work packages and to balance competing priorities

• Knowledge of test methodologies and the fundamental testing process across both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies

• Be able to identify and record discrepancies between actual and expected testing results

• Provide recommendations based on outcomes on testing if it is fit for release into a production environment

Desirable Qualifications:

• IT-related degree (e.g. Bachelor of Computer Science of Bachelor of IT)

• ISTQB Foundation testing qualification.

Required Knowledge/Experience and tools:

• Competency with Jira
